Lisa Fels joins Environics Communications as Account Supervisor in Washington office
Washington, June 15, 2010 — Environics Communications, Inc., a full-service North American public relations agency, today announced that Lisa Fels has joined the agency as an account supervisor in the Washington, D.C., office.
Fels has a range of public relations experience working predominantly with Fortune 500 businesses in the tech/telecom and financial services sectors. Her client experience includes such well-known international brands as AMD, DIRECTV, IMAX, Microsoft Corporation, New York Life Insurance Company, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Verizon Communications, among others. At Environics, she will work primarily in the agency's tech/telecom and corporate/financial practices.
Before joining Environics, Fels was a manager of media relations at Verizon Business, a unit of Verizon Communications that serves mid- to large-business customers. In this capacity, she led the customer public relations program, which included handling communications for the financial services and global energy & utility practice areas, helping to raise their visibility through strategic communications, media relations and social media programs. She also managed public relations for Verizon's contact center and customer self-service lines of business.
Prior to Verizon, Fels worked for The Glover Park Group as a director in the Washington agency's public affairs division. There, she provided corporate communications and media relations counsel for several Fortune 500 technology companies, with a focus on litigation communications, regulatory affairs and parental education programs. Fels also worked in the corporate communications practice of Porter Novelli in New York, and Edelman Public Relations in both New York and Washington.

Fels holds a BA in public communication from American University in Washington, D.C. She also volunteers on the events planning committee for the Washington regional chapter of the American Diabetes Association.
