Environics Communications welcomes new Account Director to growing Corporate and Financial team

Toronto, February 10, 2009 – Environics Communications Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Carrie Makrigiannis to the Toronto office Corporate and Financial team in the position of Account Director. In this role, Carrie will provide strategic communications direction and program management for clients such as Coca-Cola Canada and Goodyear Tires among others.

"Her diverse background working with leading Canadian brands is extensive and reflects our dedication in providing senior-level communications expertise to our clients."

Prior to joining Environics, Carrie was an Account Group Director for a consumer marketing practice at the Toronto office of an international public relations agency. There, she developed and managed programs for clients in the packaged goods, alcohol, consumer health, retail, and home appliances and décor sectors. Carrie's expertise also extended to media relations strategy, special events and corporate reputation building for clients such as Hill's Pet Nutrition, Canadian Tire, Campbell Company of Canada, World Kitchens, The Beer Store and Tilley Endurables, to name a few.

Carrie has also lent her communications skills to a number of not-for-profit organizations including Big Brother's of Metropolitan Toronto, National Kids' Day (Retail Council of Canada/Kids Help Phone) and Fashion Cares.
