President and CEO
Bruce MacLellan has worked in communications consulting for over 25 years and has provided counsel to leaders in business, government and professional sports. In 1994, he became the founding President of Environics Communications. The firm and associated divisions have annual fee revenue of over $25 million and Bruce applies his entrepreneurial thinking to existing and new opportunities with the firm and clients.
Prior to Environics, Bruce was Executive Vice President at an international public relations agency, where he was responsible for the corporate practice and also developed the firm’s first Code of Ethics. His commitment to the environment and corporate social responsibility resulted in Environics becoming the first North America marketing firm to be carbon neutral in 2008.
Bruce’s formal learning came while earning a B.A. and M.A. at the University of Toronto. Beyond that, he appreciates the multitude of lessons learned from business leaders, colleagues, volunteering and a wide range of reading, including biographies of leaders such as Churchill, Lincoln, Macdonald and Roosevelt.
